Ajilon Consulting Labs Tests Customer Service Web Portal

PORTAL TO SERVE 748,000 CHARTER CABLE MODEM CUSTOMERS

Towson, Md. – June 26, 2002 – Ajilon Consulting Labs, which specializes in software quality assurance and software testing, has completed functional testing of Charter Communications, Inc.’s (Nasdaq: CHTR) new Customer Service Web Portal, which recently became available to Charter’s 748,000 high-speed cable modem customers.

Working with web developers and consultants from St. Louis-based Charter, a national broadband communications company, test engineers at Ajilon Consulting Labs in Nashua, N.H. initiated the engagement in March. The project scope included development of test plans, test execution, and assistance with the identification and resolution of software defects and compatibility issues. The functional testing included interoperability tests, using seven Windows operating systems as well as browser compatibility employing a mix of Microsoft Internet Explorer, MSN Explorer, and Netscape browsers.

“By design, an organization’s customer service web portal will be heavily trafficked. Our labs ensured that Charter’s portal would be up to the task of accommodating upwards of 78,000 users daily,” said Bruce Ginsberg, an account manager with Ajilon Consulting Labs.

“We were also able to present Charter with a test strategy that detailed the level of thoroughness needed to test a portal servicing such a large customer base,” added Debbie Schneider, a St. Louis Ajilon Consulting account manager. “Charter appreciated the fact that not only could we conduct the testing, but also that our labs could work with the client to develop the test strategy.”
